
ABOUT GROUP LESSONS
Campbell's Music is current offering group lessons in a variety of areas. These hour long classes are held on Mondays. For the beginner, we offer two different eight week STARTER classes "Quickstart Guitar" and "Quickstart Bass." For the more advanced player, we will be offering classes in a variety of different topics, including: 1) Modes Made Easy (for the lead guitar player); 2) Blues Guitar 101; 3) Rock Songs 1 (Song Lab; for guitar and bass); 4) Funk Bass Styles; 5) Essential Bass Scales; 6) Blues Bass 101, etc. AGES 12 & UP.

As a musician, he's played guitar, electric bass and mandolin with with many area acts. Currently he plays bass with the band Groove Jones . Badog Music Announces Quickstart LIVE Clinic/Workshop
Badog Music will be hosting a Quickstart LIVE musical clinic/workshop Monday, March 14, 2005 (6:00-8:00). This clinic will cap off Quickstart Guitar's winter semester of classes, and serves as a showcase on how "Quickstart" topics are applied in real musical situations. Area instructor Rod Goelz wrote and currently teaches the Quickstart Guitar Class at Badog Music. Goelz's own band (Hip Shake: http://www.hipshakerocks.com) will be on hand to support, educate and entertain… offering their personal incites on "how to play well with others." The event will conclude with a beginner's songwriting workshop. Everyone is welcome (bring guitars!).
Topics include: the Guitar-as an accompaniment instrument; Open Chording; Power Chording; Guitar Comping Styles; The Guitar-as a melodic instrument; The Blues; Applying Music Theory; How To Write A Song.

This 8 week course was designed for the beginning student who wants to start playing guitar and have fun from the start. This is the perfect primer to start long term musical study. The goal for this course is to have the student able to play complete songs. Reading on the guitar--chord diagrams, tab, and standard notation will also be discussed... much, much more!!! (Classes scheduled in the Fall).
This 8 week course was designed for the beginning student who wants to start playing the electric bass and have fun from the start. This is the perfect primer to start long term musical study. The goal for this course is to have the student able to play complete songs. Reading on the bass-- scale diagrams, tab, and standard notation will also be discussed... much, much more!!! The material in this class matches the material covered in the Quickstart Guitar series.
