Badog Music Announces Quickstart LIVE Clinic/Workshop
Badog Music will be hosting a Quickstart LIVE musical clinic/workshop Monday, March 14, 2005 (6:00-8:00). This clinic will cap off Quickstart Guitar's winter semester of classes, and serves as a showcase on how "Quickstart" topics are applied in real musical situations. Area instructor Rod Goelz wrote and currently teaches the Quickstart Guitar Class at Badog Music. Goelz's own band (Hip Shake: http://www.hipshakerocks.com) will be on hand to support, educate and entertain… offering their personal incites on "how to play well with others." The event will conclude with a beginner's songwriting workshop. Everyone is welcome (bring guitars!).
Topics include: the Guitar-as an accompaniment instrument; Open Chording; Power Chording; Guitar Comping Styles; The Guitar-as a melodic instrument; The Blues; Applying Music Theory; How To Write A Song.

The new semester of Quickstart Guitar Classes begin April 4th, will begin offering (2) 8-Week classes for the beginner: 1) QUICKSTART GUITAR; and 2) QUICKSTART BASS. Make sure to sign up early or these classes, for we anticipate them filling up quick. CLASSES START APRIL 4th. Sign Up Now!!!!

All About Rod
(author and instructor of the Quickstart Series)
Rod Goelz will be your instructor for both of these classes. Rod has been teaching private and group lessons in the York and Lancaster for 15 years. As a musician, he's played with area acts, currently he plays bass guitar and mandolin with the area act HIP SHAKE. To find out more about Rod, check out his website: http://www.rodgoelz.com/

Quickstart Guitar
This 8 week course was designed for the beginning student who wants to start playing guitar and have fun from the start. This is the perfect primer to start long term musical study. The goal for this course is to have the student able to play complete songs. Reading on the guitar--chord diagrams, tab, and standard notation will also be discussed... much, much more!!! (Classes scheduled in the Fall).
Quickstart Bass
This 8 week course was designed for the beginning student who wants to start playing the electric bass and have fun from the start. This is the perfect primer to start long term musical study. The goal for this course is to have the student able to play complete songs. Reading on the bass-- scale diagrams, tab, and standard notation will also be discussed... much, much more!!! The material in this class matches the material covered in the Quickstart Guitar series. (Classes scheduled in the Spring).
